Want to add a little more sparkle to your wedding? Make the theme not just one, but two colors! A pink and green color scheme is a great way to go, and it’s a combination that most of your girlfriends probably haven’t even thought of! Try blending light pink with a pastel green for a soft look or a deep pink with a lighter shade of green for a more bold look. You can even use pink and green accessories and flowers to pair with a different color for your bridal party (like blue, purple or brown). There’s only about a month till summer; there’s no better way to showcase these springtime colors than a beautiful wedding! Check out LPV bride Angela's wedding for ideas, or browse our Pinterest board for even more pink and green inspiration!
This week we are all about the vintage! Vintage wedding themes are so chic and classy, and there are so many ways to modernize the vintage look! So what exactly makes something vintage? Well, vintage is anything, especially clothing, that is old (but not quite antique) and is making a comeback in the fashion industry. Vintage looks are inspired by the 1920s but totally include looks from the mid to late 1900s as well! That old hollywood vintage semblance is stunning on a bride! Incorporating vintage archives or styles in your wedding is a great way to make a bold fashion statement on your big day! It also brings a sense of nostalgia when you’re surrounded by your closest friends and family! Check out more of our favorite bridal vintage looks on Pinterest!
I've been on the lookout for the new favorite color of spring, and I am super excited to share it with you because mint green is just to die for! Mint is everywhere this season; it’s so unique and fun and one of my favorites! It’s a much softer shade that blends perfectly with other pastels to create an elegant wedding, especially one outdoors! You can also go for a more stark contrast by pairing it with coral, red, orange, and other rich earthy tones. We hope these photos make you fall in love with mint green, just like I did! And check out Lifetyme's Pinterest board for more!
Listen up ladies! I sat down with a professional makeup artist from Estee Lauder at Macy's Herald Square to get the scoop on timeless bridal makeup looks and tips on how to pull them off! The best way to get that flawless, elegant, airbrushed look is to use Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. It’s photo friendly and will highlight your natural beauty without looking powdery or oily in close ups! The trick about eye makeup is to not make it “trendy”, but natural. You don’t want your eye makeup to look out of date years from now in photos; the natural, conservative look is always in style and will truly make you look and feel beautiful. My favorite palette is Naked 2 by Urban Decay. I also snagged a little secret about how to keep your lips looking fresh and colorful throughout the night. Just dab a little concealer on the bottom lip before you apply the liner and lipstick or gloss. Using concealer first will help define your lips and also prevent your lip color from bleeding (some new lingo I picked up!). To achieve long-lasting wedding day lips, I recommend the Maybelline New York Sensational LIp Liner in Nude. For more ideas and tutorials, check out our Pinterest board!
Do you want your wedding colors to make a statement? Or ever wonder what certain colors say about you? Well, you’re in luck! This week we are featuring two bold colors- red and black! The fiery, romantic red paired with the sophisticated, mysterious black looks fabulous and says a lot about your passionate, outgoing, and fierce personality! One of our brides Cindy totally rocked the red and black color scheme! Take a look at her entire album at our fan page and check out our Black & Red Wedding Theme board on Pinterest!

The daughter of LPV's owners Jay and Jan is getting married! We asked Jess to share some of her wedding ideas at our Pinterest page (click here to see her pins). If you want to use Pinterest for your wedding planning, here are some basic tips to get you started.
Setting up an account is rather easy; you can just log-in with your Facebook or Twitter account and get started. The first step in making the pinning process a breeze is to install the "Pin It Button" to your browser toolbar. That way, if you see something online that you like, you simply click "pin it" and add the image to your special board.
Create a board just for your wedding ideas. At the top of your screen is the "Add" button. Once you click that, select the "board" option and then go through the steps to set it up. If you wish to keep your wedding ideas a secret, that's an option too. You can get the help you need getting started at the Pinterest help page.
Now it's time to start browsing ideas. Don't worry about sticking to one theme. Just search and pin ideas that speak to you. You can search by keywords within Pinterest or use the web and the "pin it button" to add your ideas. You can also search other wedding boards. When you pin or repin ideas, it helps to have your own personal description or the product info. The more you write, the easier it'll be on your memory when you go back to see why you pinned it in the first place.
Did you subscribe to wedding magazines? You can also follow bridal Pinterest boards. Using wedding keywords or the name of a publication, search for "pinners" instead of "pins." Here is a sample search of the term "bridal."
If you're getting married in New Jersey and want to see what other vendors, venues, and publications are saying, follow NJWedding.com's Pinterest pageand then follow the companies they follow. They also have a great
set up with hundreds of wedding professionals on Pinterest pinning their ideas.
When you meet with us to go over your photography plans, show us your Pinterest board so we can get a feel for what you want. We will work with you to guarantee wedding photography of a lifetyme.
